This Level 3 course meets the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and is OFQUAL recognised. The comprehensive 3-day course covers 2 units of the QCF framework, the first unit being the Level 2 Emergency First Aid at work. It deals with a wide range of First Aid emergencies, enabling all participants to deal with an emergency situation with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way.

Once qualified, holders of this First Aid at Work certificate can be used as First Aiders in the workplace in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. By arrangement the course can be run on non-consecutive days, for example - one day a week over three weeks or even over evenings.

Students are continuously assessed throughout the course and will sit two written papers. Upon successful completion students will be issued with a certificate entitled "Level 3 First Aid at Work" which is valid for a period of 3 years

*Under the current guidelines it is “strongly recommend” that first aid trained staff attend a half-day update every twelve months – before completing full re-qualification training at the three year point.
