This course is basically the L2 EFAW but has been adapted for schools to provide students with the basic requirements for first aid in the workplace. As it covers the syllabus of the L2 EFAW it does meet the requirements of the Health & Safety Executive. The course is delivered over 7 hours and covers the treatment of adults and Children involved in first aid incidents in the school. On successful completion of this course a certificate is issued that is valid for three years.

During the course you will learn the steps and techniques for handling life-threatening emergencies safely and with confidence. This course will provide first aid skills necessary to manage a patient that is not breathing normally, is unconscious or is bleeding prior to the arrival of the emergency services.

  • Managing Incidents
  • Basic Life Support (Adult and Child)
  • AED Awareness
  • Choking
  • Shock
  • Seizures
  • Wounds and Bleeding
  • Medical Conditions (Asthma /Anaphylaxis )
  • Minor Injuries
  • Recording and Reporting

Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment of the student, and a final exam. Those students who complete the course and are deemed to have reached the required standard are issued with a certificate that is valid for three years. It is also recommended that the students attend our First Aid Refresher Course every year to keep their First Aid Skills up to date
